Tholos

The chosen place is a grassland on the northern face of the Majella.
The geographic coordinates N42°13'25"; E23°54'51" denote a precise area in the middle of a vast heath full of spattered mounds of chalky rocks at 932 m. above sea level. The tholos, a primitive stone hut typical to these areas in Abruzzo, is where this site-specific installation was created. The chosen material, baked aluminium, cut into thin strips.
The ribbons wind around the primitive structure spiralling upwards from the base, like a creeper towards the sky.
